The Church of St Mary, Everdon is a large church for a small village. It is a Grade I listed building. It is believed to have been constructed by the monks of Bernay Abbey (Normandy) who had a cell in Everdon. As an alien monastery, it was suppressed during the reign of Henry V (1413-22) and the Everdon estate was given to Eton College which Henry VI founded in 1440.
